WE WILL BE PLANTING TEN TREES IN BETWEEN 11 AND 12 O’CLOCK TO HELP ACHIEVE THE WORLD RECORD OF PLANTING 600,000 TREES COUNTRYWIDE IN ONE HOUR.
October 2009 IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BBC2 PROGRAMME “AUTUMN WATCH” GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS CHALLENGE The challenge was to beat the world record of 653,143 trees planted in one hour We did our bit by planting 10 trees between 11 and 12 o/clock
Some of our trees were planted by local groups and schools including
Friends of King George’s playing Fields, Parklands Junior School, Bower Park School, Chase Cross Baptist Play Group, Crownfield School, 2nd Romford Scouts , a tree was dedicated to Heroes of the Afghanistan war, also supporters of our group, Selco, and The Café in the park, |
